In life you have to take a chance to pursue your dream. Owning a restaurant has always been a life long dream of ours….it’s the business of choice in our families, and we thought it was time to introduce a new concept in the industry – that of quick yet healthy meals. 

We grew up in a new era, one where being health conscious and environmentally responsible are the norm, and we figured that should translate into the restaurant world.  It didn’t hurt that we knew the U street neighborhood very well, and thought it was the perfect place to introduce Chix. 

The reason for healthy food is simple, we are very active people and grew up on healthy home-made meals. When not cooking at home, we are always looking for a healthy food option to little avail. 
 
The environmentally responsible piece is simple as well. It’s about building something that we could be proud of and doing business the right way. While being green may cost us more in the short-term, the long-term benefits are well worth it.

We want Chix to reflect us as people, so when we do business we want to have fun and we want to do it the right way...the responsible way.
